Welcome! The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company and Cheremosh School of Dance are pleased to have you visit our virtual dance space. The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company is a leader in Ukrainian Dance in Canada. Our outstanding skill, discipline and energy have brought us many adventures and successes throughout our forty year history, including numerous national and international tours, the most recent of these a western Canadian tour entitled Razom: A Fusion of Ukrainian Dance.

The Cheremosh School of Dance has provided youth with high-calibre dance instruction for over 30 years. Its novice groups give young dancers a strong foundation in Ukrainian dance technique, focusing on fundamental dance skills. Chumak I and II and Cheremshyna are performing ensembles that, along with further developing Ukrainian and Ballet technique, give dancers many opportunities to experience the thrill of the stage and share their outstanding skill with a variety of audiences.

The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Festival is one of the largest dance festivals of its kind in North America. It generally takes place during the second weekend in May, and provides thousands of dancers with the opportunity to perform and learn in a professional and constructive environment. This four-day Ukrainian dance competition is marked on the calendars of Ukrainian dancers and their families all over Alberta and the prairies.
