At the Chumak I and II level, dancers continue to enhance their skills, working under the instruction of Mykola Kanevets. Since their beginning in 1984, the dancers in these groups (aged 8-14 years) have become an integral part of the Cheremosh family.
Through Chumak I and Chumak II, Cheremosh’s tradition of excellence and love of Ukrainian dance is passed on to future generations. Parents and audiences are amazed at the extraordinary skill level of these young dancers. Chumak I and II bring an exuberance to their performance that speaks to Mykola Kanevets’ ability to work equally well with adults, the developing dancer and the young child.
